How long is the average travel assignment?Depending on the needs of the healthcare facility, travel assignments usually range from 4 to 13 weeks long. If you are happy at your assignment and if there is still a need for your services, an assignment extension is always favored.

Can I travel with my spouse, family, friend, or pet?"We encourage our travelers to travel with their spouse, friends, or pets. It's always nice to come home from a shift being surrounded by loved ones. Feel right at home while away on a travel assignment.

What specialties often have the most positions?Depending on the seasons and needs of healthcare facilities, we usually see a consistent demand for ICU, ER, OR, and Labor & Delivery, Med Surg, and Telemetry.

How much money will I make?At RS Healthcare, you will experience that your paychecks will stack up to the highest in the industry. We know how hard you work on the frontline, and for that, we reward our travelers with highly lucrative pay packages.

How long will be in orientation for?The length of orientation varies from faciltity to facility. Orientations can be from a few days to 2 weeks long. We ensure that we communicate orientation details with our travelers so that they are fully prepared. Our clinical support staff is on hand to help assist with the facility if you may need additional orientation.

As a traveler, how will I be paid?"Every week, every Friday, you will be receiving your direct deposit which entails your hourly wage plus your housing subsidy. With our online employee portal, you can track your weekly paystubs along with your W-2.

How does housing work?We have a housing team that will work hand in hand with travelers and their recruiters to secure viable hosuing options. Our stress-free process takes this burden off of your hands.

How can I be sure there will always be assignments available?Proactive is the name of the game. Your recruiter will be in consistent communication every week. We prefer to begin looking for your next assignment on your 6th week of work on your current assignment so that there is a smooth transition. If you are looking to extend your current assignment, the same timeline will be utilized to secure your extension assignment.

What will be my support system during my assignment?At RS Healthcare, we pride ourselves with excellent communication and building relationships. Our recruiters will be in consistent communication with you every week during your assignment. We also have a 24/7 line where someone is available after hours and on weekends as needed.
