RS Healthcare is proud to be Joint Commission Certified. We have an internal compliance team that focuses specifically on onboarding new employees to ensure an on-time start date is achieved. Throughout an assignment, a compliance specialist is assigned to each clinician to ensure credentials are kept up to date and quality checkpoints are met.

Nursing Certifications and Degrees
Registered Nurse Degree
A Registered Nurse degree will be required to take a travel assignment. An Associates in Nursing is the minimum degree requirement.
N-CLEX Exam
The N-CLEX Exam must be taken and passed by all Registered Nurses.
State License
As a Registered Nurse working in a certain state, a state nursing license must be applied for then received in that state of employment.
Certifications
Certifications will be required to work on certain floors. Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS).
How Much Experience is required to become a travel Nurse?
For a successful completion of a travel assignment, having a minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty is recommended. There are facilities that have their own specific experience requirements that may be 2+ years.
The Nurse Licensure Compact, or NLC was designed to expand nursing care across the U.S. This license allows those with the NLC to practice across multiple states that participate in the NLC. You must live in a compact state to appl for a multistate license, and meet the requirements.
